In the opinion of the Board of Judges, OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, ROBERT EVAN SCRANNAGE, PERM. ADD.: RED DEER, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. DECEMBER 22, 1994, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c). In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Drug and Alcohol Policy dated September 1, 2019, and HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c) after supplying a BODY FLUID SAMPLE on Saturday, August 29, 2026, that resulted in a POSITIVE SAMPLE TEST for NON ILLICIT DRUG confirmed by Dynacare on Friday, September 4, 2026.

PENALTY: ROBERT SCRANNAGE is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($150.00) AND SUSPENDED FROM HIS DRIVING DUTIES FOR A PERIOD OF TEN (10) CALENDAR DAYS, SEPTEMBER 4 TO SEPTEMBER 13, 2026 (INCLUSIVE). 

Following his suspension, ROBERT SCRANNAGE must pay his fine and present himself to HORSE RACING ALBERTA Security to provide a negative sample test at his own expense before reinstatement will be granted.

MEETING: The Track on 2, Lacombe, Alberta, Canada - August 30, 2026

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, BLAINE PAUL COLE CHAPPELL, PERM.ADD.: MOUNTAIN VIEW COUNTY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. APRIL 13, 1996, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 456(vii); A monetary penalty and/or suspension may be applied by the starter or by the Judges for any of the following violations contained in subsections (i)-(vii). In addition, the Judges may place the offending horse for a violation of subsections (iii), (iv) or (vi) of this rule: failure to come into position or remain in position on the gate; while driving #4 “DOLLYING IN CREDIT” in Race 6, Sunday, August 30, 2026.

PENALTY: BLAINE CHAPPELL is hereby FINED THE SUM OF FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00).

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 297(1) fine to be paid within ten (10) days.

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, JAMES DAVID JUNGQUIST, PERM. ADD.: CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. OCTOBER 11, 1978, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c). In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Drug and Alcohol Policy dated September 1, 2019, and HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c) after supplying a BODY FLUID SAMPLE on Saturday, August 23, 2026, that resulted in a POSITIVE SAMPLE TEST for NON ILLICIT DRUG confirmed by Dynacare on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

PENALTY: JAMES JUNGQUIST is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($150.00), AND SUSPENDED FROM HIS DRIVING DUTIES FOR A PERIOD OF TEN (10) CALENDAR DAYS.  Having SERVED one (1) day of his SUSPENSION, Sunday, August 23, 2026, Mr. Jungquist is hereby SUSPENDED FOR NINE (9) CALENDAR DAYS, SEPTEMBER 1 TO SEPTEMBER 9, 2026 (INCLUSIVE).

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, DRIVER, WINSTON DREW CAMPBELL, PERM. ADD.:  CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. JULY 4, 1967, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA  Rule 458(1)(g); A driver shall not commit any of the following acts which are considered violations of driving rules:  fail to set or maintain a pace comparable to a pace that the caliber of horses in the race are capable of, resulting in an excessively slow quarter or any other distance, considering track conditions, weather and circumstances confronted in the race;  while driving “CAPTAINS HIDEAWAY” in Race 9, Sunday, August 23, 2026.

PENALTY: DREW CAMPBELL is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) AND SUSPENDED ONE RACE DAY (DRIVING ONLY),SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2026 

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 297(1) fine to be paid within ten (10) days.

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, AUTHORIZED AGENT,  RODNEY RALPH THERRES, PERM. ADD.: LANGLEY, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, D.O.B.  APRIL 2, 1964, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 286(1)(a); A person violates these rules who, in the opinion of the judges/stewards board, conducts themselves in a manner prejudicial to the best interest of horse racing; by medicating the horse “MCWILLY” in error, thereby causing an unnecessary scratch in Race 7 on Friday, August 28, 2026.

PENALTY:  RODNEY THERRES is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00). 

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 297(1) fine to be paid within ten (10) days.
