PENALTY: JAMES JUNGQUIST is hereby FINED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00).

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 297(1) fine to be paid within ten (10) days.

April 17, 2025

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, GROOM, CHRISTOPHER GEORGE CURRIE, PERM. ADD.: CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B.: JULY 11, 1994, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c).

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Drug and Alcohol Policy dated September 1, 2019, and HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c) after supplying a BODY FLUID SAMPLE on Saturday, April 12, 2025, that resulted in a POSITIVE SAMPLE TEST for MARIJUANA confirmed by Dynacare Laboratories on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

PENALTY: CHRISTOPHER CURRIE is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($150.00), AND SUSPENDED AND DENIED PRIVILEDGES OF THE GROUNDS (INCLUDING GRANDSTAND) OF ALL RACETRACKS IN ALBERTA THAT COME UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF HORSE RACING ALBERTA FOR A PERIOD OF TEN (10) CALENDAR DAYS, APRIL 17 – 26, 2025. Following his suspension, provided CHRISTOPHER CURRIE pays his fine and provides a negative sample test at his own expense, he will be considered for re-instatement.

April 26, 2025

OWNER / TRAINER, JASON EDWARD CONEY, PERM. ADD.: SEXSMITH, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. SEPTEMBER 14, 1977 is hereby FINED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) for bringing onto the grounds of Century Mile Racetrack and Casino the horse “J. CRUZ” without a negative Coggins test on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 123(1)(2), 286(a)(b), and 296 (1)(a)(2)(a).

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 297(1) fine to be paid within ten (10) days.

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, AUTHORIZED AGENT, OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, GERALD JOHN HUDON, PERM. ADD.: STURGEON COUNTY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. MARCH 15, 1965, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 286(a)(b); A person violates these rules who, (a) in the opinion of the judges/stewards board, conducts themselves in a manner prejudicial to the best interest of horse racing, or (b) does not comply with these or any other rules; Following an incident with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Security and Animal Health Technician involving TCO2 testing at Century Mile Racetrack on February 12, 2025.

PENALTY: GERALD HUDON is hereby required to COMPLETE THE “RESPECT IN THE WORKPLACE” ON-LINE PROGRAM. Program to be completed by May 3, 2025.

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, AUTHORIZED AGENT, FARRIER/PLATER, TRAINER/OWNER, BRENT FRANK BODOR, PERM. ADD.: CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. JUNE 3, 1968, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 300(1)(c).

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Drug and Alcohol Policy dated September 1, 2019, and HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c) after supplying a BODY FLUID SAMPLE on Saturday, April 12, 2025, that resulted in a POSITIVE SAMPLE TEST for COCAINE confirmed by Dynacare Laboratories on Tuesday, April 16, 2025.

PENALTY: BRENT BODOR is hereby FINED THE SUM OF THE TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00), AND SUSPENDED AND DENIED THE PRIVILEDGES OF THE GROUNDS (INCLUDING GRANDSTAND) OF ALL RACETRACKS IN ALBERTA THAT COME UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF HORSE RACING ALBERTA FOR A PERIOD OF THIRTY (30) CALENDAR DAYS. Having SERVED one (1) day of his SUSPENSION, April 12, 2025, Mr Bodor is hereby SUSPENDED FOR 29 CALENDAR DAYS, APRIL 16 TO MAY 14, 2025 (INCLUSIVE). Following his suspension, provided BRENT BODOR pays his fine and provides a negative sample test at his own expense, he will be considered for re-instatement.

A reduced penalty may be considered after fourteen (14) days, if BRENT BODOR has met with the Manager, Backstretch Development, and the Manager, Backstretch Development makes a recommendation for a re-instatement as outlined in HORSE RACING ALBERTA Drug and Alcohol Policy dated September 1, 2019. BRENT BODOR must also meet with the HORSE RACING ALBERTA Director, Regulatory and Supervisor of Racing before re-instatement.

ADD.: WHEATLAND COUNTY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B.: OCTOBER 11, 1989, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 458(1)(g) A driver shall not commit any of the following acts which are considered violations of driving rules: fail to set or maintain a pace comparable to a pace that the caliber of horses in the race are capable of, resulting in an excessively slow quarter or any other distance, considering track conditions, weather and circumstances confronted in the race; while driving “BEEP BOP A LULA” in Race 6, Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

PENALTY: DAVID KELLY is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY-FIVE DOLLARS ($195.00).

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 297(1) fine to be paid within ten (10) days.

JOCKEY, RICARDO MORENO ANDRADE, PERM. ADD.: LETHBRIDGE, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. NOVEMBER 25, 1995, is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) for the misuse of the riding crop during training hours on Wednesday, April 2, 2024.
