Throwback Thursday - Shannon Beauregard

Today’s Throwback takes us to Stampede Park in 2005 and Apprentice Rider Sovereign Award winner Shannon Beauregard.

In 2005 Shannon told us that “Nothing compares to riding horses – it’s my life. It’s my love” and she still has that love. Shannon had a fall from a horse in 2014 and most jockeys would have retired, but all Shannon could think about was getting back on a horse. Shannon’s work ethic is second to none, and her hard work, dedication and love for the horses has her back on the track, and in the winner’s circle. Shannon is a veteran in the Jockey’s Room at Northlands Park, and this winter she got her 800th win at Turf Paradise in Phoenix.

Come see Shannon ride on Friday night and Saturday afternoon at Northlands Park!
