In the opinion of the Board of Judges, OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, FARRIER/PLATER, TYLER RYAN REDWOOD, PERM. ADD.: OLDS, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B.: NOVEMBER 20, 1983, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c).
In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Drug and Alcohol Policy dated September 1, 2019, and HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c) after supplying a BODY FLUID SAMPLE on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, that resulted in a POSITIVE SAMPLE TEST for NON-ILLICIT DRUG confirmed by Dynacare on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
PENALTY: TYLER REDWOOD is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($150.00), AND SUSPENDED FROM HIS DRIVING DUTIES FOR A PERIOD OF TEN (10) CALENDAR DAYS. Having SERVED one (1) day of his SUSPENSION, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Mr. Redwood is hereby SUSPENDED FOR NINE (9) CALENDAR DAYS, OCTOBER 8 TO OCTOBER 16, 2026 (INCLUSIVE).
Following his suspension, TYLER REDWOOD must pay his fine and present himself to HORSE RACING ALBERTA Security to provide a negative sample test at his own expense before reinstatement will be granted.
