In the opinion of the Board of Judges, TRAINER/DRIVER, TERRY DEAN KAUFMAN, PERM. ADD.: ALDERGROVE, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, D.O.B. JUNE 18, 1973, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c).
In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Drug and Alcohol Policy dated September 1, 2019, and HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c) after supplying a BODY FLUID SAMPLE on Saturday, May 16, 2026, that resulted in a POSITIVE SAMPLE TEST for a NON ILLICIT DRUG confirmed by Dynacare Laboratories on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
PENALTY: TERRY KAUFMAN is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($150.00) AND SUSPENDED FROM HIS DRIVING DUTIES FOR A PERIOD OF TEN (10) CALENDAR DAYS, MAY 27 - JUNE 5 (INCLUSIVE) 2026. Following his suspension, TERRY KAUFMAN must pay his fine and provide a negative sample test at his own expense prior to being re-instated.
(Failure to pay the fine by June 5, 2026 will result in licence suspension.)
