2016 TOBA Achievements

Canadian Breeder of the Year, Highfield Stock Farm Ltd. 

The Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society, National Office, would like to congratulate Highfield Stock Farm Ltd. in being chosen as the recipient of the Canada Breeder of the Year Award at the 32nd Annual Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) National Awards Dinner. The TOBA National Awards Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Lexington, Kentucky to honour the 2016 achievements of Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders. 

Highfield Stock Farm Ltd. joins previous Canadian recipients Tod Mountain Thoroughbreds (2010), Gardiner Farms (2011), William D. Graham (2012), Sam-Son Farm (2013 & 2014), and Tall Oaks Farm (2015). 

Every year TOBA hosts their Annual Awards Dinner to honour the achievements of the Owners and Breeders of the previous year. Thoroughbred Owners in the four major North American racing regions (Eastern, Midwestern, Southern and Western) and Breeders in 22 states and Canada are recognized along with the two National Breeders of the Year, National Owner of the Year, Broodmare of the Year, Rood & Riddle Sport Horse of the Year and the Robert N. Clay Award, in a night of honour. 

TOBA was formed in 1961 and is based in Lexington, Kentucky; they are a national trade organization of leading Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners with a mission to improve the economics, integrity and pleasure of the sport on behalf of Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders. The Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society is an associate member of TOBA.
