The Rules Governing Horse Racing in Alberta are AMENDED as follows:

Chapter 3: General Horse Racing Rules, Part 4 Claiming Rules

The following Rule 332 g is AMENDED to read:

Rule 332 g Delivery order for claimed horses

Transfer of possession of a claimed horse to the successful claimant or their representative shall take place in the paddock immediately after the running of the race. Altering or removing the horse's shoes prior to the transfer is not permitted.

Rule 332 g Delivery order for claimed horses previously stated:

In a claiming race, the judges/stewards board, after approving a claim, must cause to be issued a delivery order on the original owner or the owner's representative who must immediately make delivery to the claimant in the paddock or the test barn without altering or removing the claimed horse's shoes.
