Cases of EHV-1 have recently been reported in the U.S. and within Alberta. Please take enhanced biosecurity precautions:
- It is recommended that all healthy horses receive vaccination against Equine Herpesvirus (EHV).
- Limit horse movement
- Monitor temperatures twice daily
- Don’t share equipment
- Disinfect high-touch areas
- Isolate new or sick horses when possible
