Posting - Communications and Stakeholder Relations Officer

The Communications and Stakeholder Relations Officer (CSRO) is accountable for HRA communications, stakeholder relations and engagement initiatives, and social media. In this role the CSRO will lead the development of a communication strategy and is responsible for achieving consistency of messaging in line with the HRA’s statutory mandate and the strategic priorities of the organization.

TheThe CSRO will also play a key role in public and industry stakeholder engagement, including:

  • helping to build positive relationships with all stakeholders,
  • increasing stakeholders' knowledge of HRA’s mandate, vision, mission and values, and
  • consulting with stakeholders to co-create a renewed values-based culture in the Alberta horse racing industry.

The CSRO will work with the HRA Board and Administration to ensure that the HRA’s communication, social media and marketing materials are high quality, effective and consistent.

Horse Racing Alberta is looking to hire a dedicated CSRO to join our organization. The CSRO will support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate marketing material, design and create social media content, and respond to inquiries from the public, media, stakeholders and government.

To succeed as a CSRO, you should be able to think creatively and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A Bachelor's Degree with experience as a CSRO or equivalent experience in a similar role is desired.
