Pooli continues to impress
Apprentice rider Amie Pooli continues to impress as she'd pick up three victories on the Canada Day card at Northlands Park. Elite Force (Amber Buniak) would have Pooli in the winner's circle following the 1st race and Lynn's Foxie Lady (Twylla Bensmiller) would cruise gate-to-wire in the 2nd for the Pooli Daily-Double. Live A little (Greg Tracy) would absolutely dominate in Race 5 - winning by 12 - to complete Pooli's hat trick on the day.
Pooli sits all alone in second - with 23 wins - in the Park's jockey standings behind Rico Walcott. Should the good times continue to roll, for Pooli, expect her to be in with a serious shot at this year's Sovereign Award for leading apprentice rider.
Other Monday winners included Time for Slewpy (Ismael Mosqueira), Alberta Breeze (Mario Velazquez), Dark Briar (Craig Wonnacott), Sweet Nectar (Rico Walcott) and Kasparov's Honor (Tony Maragh).
