Upward momentum continues after weekend of racing at Northlands Park

Boyed by ideal weather conditions this past weekend, crowds at Northlands continue to grow right along with wagering.

The first 4 days of thoroughbred racing continues to trend upwards with the handle on live racing for the first two weekends totaling $1,210,819, compared with $754,393 last year. The difference represents a 60% increase in wagering year-to-date over last season.

The first Wednesday card of 2016 will take place on May 18. In addition to the regularly scheduled Friday and Saturday cards on May 20 and 21, there will also be a Victoria Day Monday card on May 23.

Hope to see all of our Edmonton racing fans take in the thoroughbred action at Northlands Park this coming week!
