For over ten years the Alberta Horse Racing and Breeding Industry has been partnering with the Northern Alberta International Children’s Festival

The Northern Alberta International Children's Festival strives to make artistic and cultural programming accessible for every child. For some children, a visit to the Festival is just not possible.  Thanks to the generous support of Horse Racing Alberta, the Children's Festival delivers Project Smile, an outreach initiative designed to bring the colour, sounds and laughter of the festival to local hospitals and long-term care facilities for patients and their families to enjoy.  This year, Project Smile is performing at:

  • Stollery Hospital
  • Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital
  • Elves Child Development Centre
  • G.R.I.T. (Getting Ready for Inclusion Today)

The industry also sponsors the festival's very popular Adopt-A-School

The Adopt-A-School program matches donors with schools to provide Festival tickets and bus transportation to schools facing financial challenges allowing children to fulfill curiosities and imaginations.

The festival runs May 26 – 30, 2015 in St. Albert
