“Sets New Track Record”

Although Who Doesnt was handicapped with the outside post position in last’s Sunday’s Open Pace the talented five-year-old son of Mach Three had no trouble dominating the field while setting a new track record for driver/trainer Travis Cullen. Who Doesnt became the first older pacer to score a sub 1:51 mile at Alberta Downs. Lowering the aged pacing record by one-fifth Who Doesnt roared to victory in a blistering 1:50.4 winning by six lengths over his peers.

Leaving from the outside with post six Who Doesnt was sent off the gate and immediately went after the lead. Who Doesnt assumed the lead easily and hit the first quarter in a sharp 26.3. Attack Modes Billy (Giesbrecht) got away well on the rail and settled in behind Who Doesnt for the two hole journey. Tucking into third was Blue Star Admiral (Campbell) and then Overcard (Redwood) in fourth. Playbook (Davis) backed off in fifth and the trailer was Wrangler Betonme (Clark). Who Doesnt continued to control the racetrack to the half in 55.2 and the three quarters in 1:22.4 with not much movement behind him till the stretch. The speedy gelding pulled away heading down the homestretch and was now only competing with the teletimer. In the distance the battle was on between Attack Modes Billy, Blue Star Admiral and Playbook. Blue Star Admiral prevailed and edged out Playbook for second. Attack Modes Billy hung on for fourth while Overcard finished fifth and Wrangler Betonme sixth.

This was Who Doesnt’s fourth win in a row and seventh win in 2014. He now has fourteen lifetime wins with $137,830 in his bankroll. Travis Cullen shares ownership with Jeanne, Kenneth and Jodie Cullen of Glenboro, MB. The winner paid $5.40 $2.40 $2.10. The 6-5 Exactor paid $12.10 while the 6-5-3 Triactor paid $26.40.
