Three 'big-name' Ontario drivers will be at Century Downs for a Pacing For Charity event this Sunday. Jack Moiseyev, Jody Jamieson and James MacDonald were invited to participate in a challenge against Alberta drivers that will, in turn, raise money for worthy charities. Moiseyev will drive on behalf of breast cancer. Jamieson will team up with autism, and MacDonald will be donating his driver earnings to juvenile diabetes.

MacDonald says his interest in coming to Century Downs was two-fold. The number one factor being to raise money for juvenile diabetes. The other is that he won the Ontario regional driving challenge and if he wins the national final Oct. 14th in London, he’ll represent Canada in the World Drivers Challenge. The first leg of that challenge is set for Century Downs a year from now.

  • Jack Moiseyev - from 62,646 races - 9,804 wins - $132M earned in purse money.
  • Jody Jamieson - from 42,576 races - 7,386 wins - $116M earned in purse money.
  • James MacDonald - from 13,316 races - 1,505 wins - $18.5M earned in purse money.

Horse people are to be applauded for stepping up to the plate, for this Pacing For Charity event, as all three of the drivers have picked up horses in each and every race. Post time, for the ten races, this Sunday afternoon is 1:10 PM. Come on out early and meet Moiseyev, Jamieson and MacDonald at a special autograph session taking place from 11:45 to 12:30. It's sure to be a very exciting day from start to finish! I'll see you there...
