"We also have the Bullys Futurity, a Stakes race of six furlongs with an $8,000 purse." Another $8,000 race Saturday will be the six furlong Fillies Oakes. Sunday is another nine race card featuring the $62,577 Alberta Bred Quarter Horse Futurity.
Allen Goodsell and William Leech have qualified three horses apiece with Laurie Ferguson and Les Webb qualifying one each.

As well as the 350-yard Futurity there'll be a $6,953 Alberta Bred Futurity Consolation. "We have two Stakes races as well, the mile and sixteenth Amtote Derby and the $8,000 seven furlong Farewell Stakes," says Gibb. "To top this off we have the $8,000 seven furlong Dating Game Stakes for Fillies and Mares.
"Sunday we have the Whoop-Up Downs Canadian Championship Paint Futurity covering 350 yards with a $10,000 purse. Added to this we have the 400 yard AQHRA Aged Stakes with an estimated purse of $8,400. "We have a pair of Memorial races to close out our race meet. First there's there's the Keep on Truckin' Memorial in memory of the Clark, Payne and Willard Families. Our final race for 2013 is the Reg Wiest Memorial."
With this final week remaining the jockey standings remain tight. Ramiro Sanchez Castillo is now on top with 20 wins, picking up six last weekend. Scott Sterr is next in line with 19 and Blandford Stewart has 17. On the trainer's side of the ledger William Leech has 11 wins while Lyle Magnuson has nine. With this weekend all these jockeys and trainers have 32 races left, plenty of room for anyone to make a big move. A large portion of the proceeds from this year's Thanksgiving feast, put on by the Bullys staff, will go towards a mother of three who is fighting breast cancer.
