After a hectic weekend last week, this weekend the Rocky Mountain Turf Club takes a bit of a
breather.

The Friday night card will have six races, with the opening two races Quarter horse sprints.
Saturday and Sunday there will be seven races on each card.
Saturday's first race will be a $4,300, 350-yard sprint with the remainder of the card
Thoroughbred runs.
Sunday's program features a $3,400 fourth race, with eight Thoroughbreds going to the post.
The final race of this weekend is the $4,500 Second Leg Starter Allowance.
Among the key horses will be Nellie Pigeau's Pipestone. Corrine Draper will take Starpone to
the gate and leading trainer Lyle Magnuson has Mamoonya entered.
When you look at the race for the jockeys' title, it's as close as it can get.
The Spring Meet champion Larris Allen has moved into first for the Fal Meet with 11 wins, just
one ahead of Ramiro Sanchez Castillo and two ahead of the fast-charging Scott Sterr. Bladford
Stewart has eight wins and Teagan Oulton has seven, including last weekend's Canada Quarter
Horse Futurity.
Lyle Magnuson and William Leech lead the trainers with seven wins apiece, and three trainers
have four wins apiece - Laurie Ferguson, Rick Wiest and Allen Goodsell.
This weekend's post times are 6 p.m. on Friday and 1:05 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
